#KNMAOutreach Heritage Talk & Art Workshops - Where Art & Architecture Come Together! Heritage Facts: Humayun's Tomb is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi, India. The tomb was commissioned by Humayun's first wife and chief consort, Empress Bega Begum in 1569-70, and was designed by Persian architects Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son, Sayyid Muhammad, chosen by her. It was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent, and is located in Nizamuddin East, Delhi, India. The tomb was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993. • The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) in collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), brings to you a series of Heritage Talk & Art Workshops where participants will not only learn new art techniques but will also get acquainted with the rich cultural background of select Heritage Buildings of India.
